Uttar Pradesh to Bihar Alerts, Gujarat Braces for Torrential Rain

The IMD has highlighted a potential for severe weather from the north‑east to the western frontiers. In the north‑east, West Bengal and Sikkim could experience extensive rain through September 16. Odisha expects localized heavy downpours today, with broader rain possible until September 12. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are all under warnings for widespread precipitation through mid‑September. Southern states such as coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Telangana are also forecast to receive heavy rain in the coming days.
