The scorching heat and humidity in Chhattisgarh may soon bring relief to the public. The lack of rainfall for an extended period has affected not only humans but also animals, birds, and plants. Cattle are wandering in search of water, and there has been a decline in vegetable production due to the absence of rain.
According to the Meteorological Department, there are indications of a change in the weather in the next two days. Conditions are becoming favorable for the southwest monsoon to enter the southern part of the state. Heavy thunderstorms and rain are expected in many parts of the state on June 14 and 15.
On June 11, Bilaspur recorded a maximum temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius, which was 2.3 degrees below normal. Bilaspur also recorded the highest temperature in the entire state.
If the weather department’s forecast proves accurate, farmers, cattle, and the general public are expected to get relief from the heat in the coming days.
