The biggest strength of this change is the young and experienced human resources of the state. The recent decision of the Ministerial Council under Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai appears to advance this thinking. On one hand, the establishment of a National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) in Nawa Raipur ATAL Nagar will give youth a modern skill platform; on the other hand, increasing the maximum age limit for classes in various government and affiliated institutions from 38 to 45 years is a crucial step to give experience and capability new opportunities. Dreams require both degree and talent Today’s youth wants not only education but employable skills. Amid the changing needs of industries, the importance of practical training along with knowledge has grown. Keeping this need in mind, the proposal to allocate 10 acres of land free of cost to the NSTI in the village of Tendua was approved by the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Directorate of the Government of India. With an estimated cost of around 200 crore rupees, the institute will have modern academic, administrative and hostel facilities. Long‑term courses will train about a thousand trainees each year and short‑term programmes about three thousand, offering opportunities linked to the dreams of thousands of youth. Those who acquire technical skills will join industry, start their own enterprises and generate jobs for others. Skill as the road to employment and self‑reliance The establishment of NSTI will be a major initiative to connect youth training with evolving technology and industry demands. Today skill is not just a means to get a job, but a capacity to become self‑reliant. Rural and town youth will also get the chance to become entrepreneurs. A trained youth can become both a job seeker and a job‑giver entrepreneur. This is the journey from skill to entrepreneurship, from employment to self‑reliance. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi often tells the nation’s youth to do work that creates jobs, so that a new identity can be built.
