A bizarre case of fraud has emerged in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, where a female doctor was hypnotized and robbed by two unidentified individuals disguised as sadhus. The incident has prompted the doctor to file a complaint with the police. The event occurred at the Sudha Suraj Fertility Care Clinic in Shankar Nagar. The doctor reported that on September 26th, around 3 p.m., while she was in the clinic with a staff member, the two individuals, posing as sadhus, entered the clinic. Initially, the staff offered them money, but they declined. They then proceeded directly to the doctor’s cabin, ignoring attempts by the receptionist to stop them. They engaged the doctor in conversation under the guise of seeking treatment, and during this interaction, they began to gather personal information. Through this conversation, they hypnotized the doctor, gaining control over her. They exploited this state to coerce the doctor into transferring Rs 9,000 via UPI, using the name of a woman named Paramjeet Kaur for the transaction. Before fleeing, they gave the doctor a picture of a deity, black beads, and a Rudraksha mala. The entire incident was captured on CCTV. The next day, upon reviewing the transactions and CCTV footage, the doctor realized she had been defrauded and promptly informed the police, who have initiated an investigation and are searching for the suspects.
