The monsoon season continues to impact the country, bringing with it a spell of rain. Delhi-NCR experienced heavy rainfall on Sunday night, which persisted into Monday morning. The Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for Monday and has extended it for today as well. The capital city is expected to witness thunderstorms accompanied by light to moderate rainfall throughout the day. Cloudy skies and moderate rainfall are also predicted for tomorrow. This rainy spell in the capital is expected to continue until July 13th, promising pleasant weather in Delhi until then. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in several regions, including Uttar Pradesh, with specific districts like Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Shahjahanpur, Jalaun, Mahoba, Jhansi, and Lalitpur expected to receive significant downpours. Bihar, similar to Uttar Pradesh, is experiencing a decrease in rainfall, with a ‘dry spell’ in the monsoon season. The department has forecasted rainfall in some districts of Bihar. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also expected in various other states, including Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Telangana, and Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rainfall in Assam, Meghalaya, coastal Karnataka, the Gangetic plains of West Bengal, and Rajasthan. Heavy rainfall is also likely in Jharkhand, Kerala, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir.
