On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai performed yoga at Ranjita Stadium in Jashpur district. Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade and Yoga Commission Chairman Roop Narayan Sinha were also present at the event. CM Sai highlighted yoga’s ancient roots in India, emphasizing its long-standing practice. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating the International Yoga Day on June 21st, which has given yoga global recognition. CM Sai encouraged people to incorporate yoga into their daily routines, dedicating at least some time to it. He emphasized that yoga, which means ‘to connect,’ should be integrated into life. He noted that yoga is now embraced worldwide, not just in India. He personally practices yoga for 25-30 minutes daily and mentioned that Kapalbhati has helped him reduce weight. He stressed the importance of yoga for disease prevention and a healthy life. A large number of people attended the International Yoga Day event. During the event, a 10-year-old deaf and mute girl, Varsha Mishra, performed yoga on stage, and CM Sai honored her with a memento.
