Union Minister Chirag Paswan asserted that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has already accepted defeat in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, based on his recent statements. Paswan suggested that instead of criticizing constitutional institutions, Gandhi should focus on internal issues within his own party. He further commented that the Congress’s tendency to blame external factors for electoral losses indicates a pre-emptive acceptance of defeat. Paswan also predicted losses for the Congress in future elections in Assam and Bengal.
Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav voiced support for Rahul Gandhi’s criticisms of the Election Commission of India (ECI), alleging that constitutional bodies are being undermined under the current government. Yadav claimed the BJP influences the election schedule and that institutions are acting as proxies for the ruling party. Yadav emphasized the need for all parties to work towards strengthening Bihar.
This discussion arose following Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on X, where he criticized the ECI’s response to allegations regarding Maharashtra polls. The ECI has dismissed Gandhi’s claims as unsubstantiated.
