Clash Between Security Forces and Terrorists in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir; One Soldier Martyred

A soldier was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. A search operation was underway in the high-altitude area of Udhampur when terrorists opened fire on the army, injuring a soldier. The soldier was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officials reported that the search operation commenced late Friday evening in the Dudu-Basantgarh area of Udhampur and the Seoj Dhar forest border of Doda's Bhadrawah. The operation was a joint effort by the army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police's Special Operations Group (SOG). During the search, terrorists fired, injuring a soldier, who later died in the hospital.
