CM Calls on Opposition to Work for Citizens, Not Parade in Delhi

Sarma rebuked opposition leaders for organizing protests in Delhi, describing the move as an effort to pressure central authorities. He invited them to visit Assam, see the state’s challenges, and address local grievances directly.

“The real pain is here, in Assam. Before showcasing strength in the capital, come and understand the hardships faced by our people,” he urged.

He added that such demonstrations distract from genuine governance and that opposition must prioritize grassroots engagement over symbolic rallies.
