Critique of BJP Family‑Rule and Law‑And‑Order Claims Escalates in Uttar Pradesh
The political debate in Uttar Pradesh intensified on 7 November as Shiv Sena representative Shaina NC and Samajwadi Party MLA Tufani Saroj exchanged barbs over family politics and law‑and‑order records.
Shaina defended BJP national president Nitin Naveen’s criticism of Rahul Gandhi, describing it as a necessary exposure of a leader who allegedly creates chaos and relies on an “foreign toolkit”.
She also charged that opposition figures invoke Lord Ram in public discourse but never visit Ayodhya, using the city’s Diwali illumination for electoral gain.
Meanwhile, Tufani Saroj turned the spotlight on the BJP, accusing it of promoting nepotism by citing the families of senior leaders such as Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah and labeling the party as the primary source of family‑based politics in the state.
Saroj demanded a publicly posted list of individuals with criminal backgrounds at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s headquarters, arguing that transparency would reveal the true affiliations of politicians.
She further alleged that the Yogi government has allowed a “jungle raj”, with rising crimes against women, child abuse cases, and reports of sexual assault in police stations, contradicting the party’s “zero tolerance” slogan.
Both legislators concluded that Uttar Pradesh’s future hinges on stable governance, not on fragmented “gang” tactics or partisan family networks, urging voters to decide based on performance rather than rhetoric.
