A landslide in Darjeeling district has resulted in the tragic loss of at least seven lives in Dilaram, located on the Kurseong-Darjeeling road. Rescue teams are actively searching for two individuals who remain missing following the disaster. The Kurseong-Darjeeling road is currently blocked due to the landslide, severely impacting transportation in the region. Furthermore, another landslide at Gourishankar has led to the closure of Rohini Road. While the condition of Pankhabari Road is reported to be poor, Tindharia Road remains accessible. Authorities are currently focused on evacuating tourists from Mirik using the Tindharia route, with the aim of completing the evacuation within three to four hours.
