Fishermen who purchase modern vessels equipped with processing units will receive interest‑subsidy support. The state has set aside 12 crore rupees for the programme in the current financial year, aiming to reduce the financial burden of acquiring new boats and to open higher‑value fishing grounds for coastal communities.
