Delhi Police have initiated an investigation following a death threat against Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The Ghaziabad Police alerted the North West District Police late Thursday night after receiving a concerning call. According to police reports, an unidentified individual contacted the Ghaziabad Police PCR and issued a threat to the Chief Minister’s life. ACP Ritesh Tripathi of Ghaziabad confirmed the incident, stating that the Ghaziabad Commissionerate’s Kotwali police station received the threat on the night of June 5, 2025. The Delhi control room was promptly informed, and local police responded immediately. Efforts are underway to trace the call’s origin, with surveillance operations and dedicated teams actively working on the case. Authorities are committed to apprehending the individual responsible and will pursue legal action. Both Ghaziabad and Delhi Police are collaborating closely as the investigation progresses.
