In Mysuru, Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar attributed the Congress party’s electoral success to its pro-people guarantee schemes and the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi. Speaking at a public event, Shivakumar lauded the work under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and stated that the Congress party’s symbol, ‘the hand,’ had both silenced critics and empowered farmers. He emphasized the power of the Congress’s initiatives and the party’s commitment to the welfare of the people. Additionally, he mentioned the commencement of projects worth Rs 2,578 crores and the utilization of World Bank funds to revolutionize the education sector. The Deputy CM’s visit to Mysuru included attendance at a public event and a ‘Sadhana’ conference. During the visit, an escort vehicle in Shivakumar’s convoy overturned on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, resulting in minor injuries to five individuals. Shivakumar was unharmed and continued his journey to Bengaluru as scheduled.
