A 36-year-old doctor was taken into custody on Tuesday following a disruptive incident on an Air India flight bound for Surat from Bengaluru. The woman allegedly threatened to bring down the aircraft after being prevented from storing her luggage in a restricted area near the cabin crew’s space. The incident led to a two-hour delay and triggered a security alert. The individual, identified as Vyas Hiral Mohanbhai, a resident of Shivanahalli near Yehlahanka, was traveling alone on AI Flight IX2749 with two bags. She reportedly bypassed the check-in counter and insisted on carrying both bags onto the plane. After boarding, she placed one bag near the crew cabin and took the other to her seat. When crew members requested that she place the bag in the overhead compartment, she refused and verbally abused the crew and other passengers. At one point, she issued a threat to crash the plane if her bag was touched. Security personnel were called, and she was removed from the flight. At the KIA police station, she continued to be uncooperative, shouting at and even pushing officers. Her husband, who works at an educational institution in the city, stated that his wife had previously exhibited similar behaviors and was en route to Gujarat to visit family. The police are investigating her background and any past incidents.
