External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is scheduled to visit France and Belgium from June 8th to 14th, engaging with key leaders and officials. The visit aims to bolster bilateral ties and highlight India’s unwavering stance against terrorism. A significant aspect of the trip includes the inaugural ministerial strategic dialogue with EU Foreign and Security Policy Chief Kaja Kallas. In France, Jaishankar will meet with French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Barrot and participate in the Mediterranean Raisina Dialogue in Marseille. Discussions will cover India’s counter-terrorism measures, including recent actions against terror infrastructure. The visit also commemorates 25 years of the strategic partnership between India and France. In Brussels, Jaishankar will hold strategic talks with Kaja Kallas and interact with the European Commission, Parliament members, and think tanks. The visit is expected to deepen India’s relationships with the EU, France, and Belgium, focusing on various areas of cooperation.
