Elderly Theft Duo Arrested in Delhi E-Rickshaw Case

Delhi Police have cracked a theft case involving an elderly passenger who lost Rs 1 lakh in an e-rickshaw near Moti Nagar. The arrested couple, Suresh and Rajni, admitted to choosing senior citizens as easy targets. The victim had boarded the vehicle from Shivaji Marg with cash in his bag. After reaching the destination, he noticed the bag was cut open. Police formed a special team, examined CCTV footage, and recovered the vehicle. The couple was apprehended soon after and cash worth Rs 90,000 was seized. Officers say they are questioning the accused to understand their modus operandi. The case highlights the need for vigilance among elderly travelers using public transport in Delhi.
