Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate various youth-centric initiatives in Delhi today, Saturday, with a cost exceeding Rs 62,000 crore. Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner, Gynesh Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Vivek Joshi and SS Sandhu, will be in Patna for a two-day visit starting today to review election preparations in Bihar. The term of Bihar’s 243-member legislative assembly concludes on November 22nd. It is standard practice for top Election Commission officials to visit states before announcing the election schedule. Furthermore, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit will convene a core group meeting in Jammu to discuss strategies for the upcoming elections for the union territory’s four Rajya Sabha seats. The Election Commission had previously announced on September 25th that elections for the vacant Rajya Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir would be held on October 24th. Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah begins a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh today, where he will participate in the ‘Muria Darbar,’ a prominent traditional event of the world-famous Bastar Dussehra festival.
