Fake FMGE Documents Lead to Doctor Arrests in Jaipur

Jaipur – The Special Operation Group of Rajasthan Police announced the arrest of four physicians who allegedly used fake FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) certificates to bypass internship requirements and seek registration with the Rajasthan Medical Council.

According to the SOG, each suspect paid between 27 lakh and 30 lakh rupees for a fabricated FMGE result. The fraud enabled them to complete mandatory clinical training at institutions such as Dausa Government Medical College, Dhoulpur Medical College, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, and Alwar Medical College.

Bharat Bhushan Sharma, a Kyrgyzstan‑educated doctor, reportedly spent 30 lakh rupees for his internship. Relatives Saurabh Sharma and Himanshu Sharma, both Russian MBBS graduates, each paid about 27 lakh rupees for their respective placements. Shivam Chaudhary, who studied in Kazakhstan, is alleged to have paid 30 lakh rupees for the Alwar assignment.

Both the SOG and the Rajasthan Medical Council have warned that the use of forged documentation undermines public trust in the health sector. The ongoing probe has uncovered more than a hundred individuals with foreign medical degrees potentially linked to similar scams, raising the overall arrest count to 33.
