The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is accelerating the construction of a flatted factory in Yamuna City, strategically located near the upcoming Noida International Airport. The project, slated for Sector 28, is designed to bolster the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. Officials estimate the project will be completed within two years, with a total investment of ₹125 crore.
A flatted factory is a multi-story industrial complex that accommodates numerous small-scale production units under a single roof. This innovative approach provides significant advantages for small business owners by optimizing space utilization and facilitating resource pooling. This will be the first such project in the Greater Noida area.
The facility will house over 100 industrial units within its 38,665 square-meter footprint. Furthermore, a Medical Device Park will be established in the same sector, enhancing the region’s economic prospects. According to Dr. Arun Vir Singh, CEO of YEIDA, the initiative underscores the government’s commitment to supporting small enterprises by centralizing essential amenities such as air conditioning, elevators, fire safety systems, water supply, and electricity. The factory will also incorporate CCTV security and eco-friendly architectural features.
This project is anticipated to attract investors and generate employment opportunities. The proximity to Noida International Airport is also expected to increase passenger traffic, as it will ease commute for business owners from cities like Jaipur and Mumbai, who currently rely on Delhi Airport for air travel.
