In a TV9 Digital meeting prior to the Bihar assembly elections, former minister Bima Bharti stated that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is struggling to recognize people and forgets them within half an hour. Bharti mentioned this during the fifth and final phase of the digital meeting held in Purnia. She added that she would not field her daughter in the upcoming elections. Bharti further commented on Nitish Kumar’s future, suggesting that change is imminent, describing him as a tired chief minister. She questioned why Kumar no longer addresses the issues of special state status for Bihar, unemployment, and poverty. Before joining the RJD, Bharti was with the Janata Dal United. Regarding support for Pappu Yadav in Purnia, Bharti deferred to the party leadership, stating that the Mahagathbandhan instructed them to contest. She noted her positive relationship with Yadav, who is a Member of Parliament from Purnia.
