The family of slain NCP leader Baba Siddique is appealing to Indian authorities for the swift return of gangster Anmol Bishnoi, following confirmation of his removal from the United States. Anmol Bishnoi, brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is a prime suspect in the murder of Baba Siddique, who was fatally shot in Bandra last October. Official notification of Bishnoi’s departure from the U.S. was received on November 18 through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Victim Information Notification Exchange (DHS-VINE).
Zeeshan Siddique, Baba Siddique’s son, revealed that his family is registered as victims with U.S. authorities and receives ongoing updates. The primary concern now is whether Bishnoi will be deported directly to India. Zeeshan urged the central and Maharashtra governments to ensure Bishnoi is brought to Mumbai for interrogation and subsequent arrest. He emphasized that Bishnoi poses a significant threat to society and is implicated not only in his father’s murder but also in other high-profile criminal activities, including the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence. The family believes Bishnoi’s return is crucial to unraveling the complete conspiracy behind Baba Siddique’s assassination and identifying all involved parties.
In parallel, the Bombay High Court has requested a response from the Maharashtra government regarding a petition filed by Baba Siddique’s widow, Shehzeen Siddique. The petition demands a court-monitored investigation by an independent agency or a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Investigators indicate Anmol Bishnoi fled India using a forged passport, traveling through Nepal, Dubai, Kenya, and ultimately reaching the United States, where he was detained in November 2024. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has designated him as one of India’s most wanted criminals, offering a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to his capture. Bishnoi is linked to at least 18 criminal cases in India, including the conspiracy to murder Baba Siddique and the alleged coordination of the May 2022 killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala from abroad. He is also a suspect in the April 2024 shooting outside Salman Khan’s home, believed to be connected to the Bishnoi criminal network.
