Garba Pavilions to Restrict Non‑Hindus, Enforce ID Checks

The World Hindu Council has instructed that garba pavilions during Navratri should not admit anyone who does not follow Hindu customs. Roongta highlighted that a simple identity proof check at the entry gate will help maintain the sanctity of the event. He asked organizers to place Hindu volunteers at the reception desk to verify documents and to keep a record of attendees.

Additionally, the council appealed to photographers, videographers, and other crew members to be exclusively Hindu, aiming to protect cultural sensitivities. Any incident involving vulgarity, sexual harassment, or non‑consensual recordings must be reported straight away, with the administration handling legal action.
