Ghanashyam Singh Launches Campaign, Accuses BJP of Ignoring Voter Sentiment

After submitting his nomination papers, Congress hopeful Ghanashyam Singh launched a full‑scale campaign in Datiya, criticizing the BJP for being out of touch with grassroots concerns. He pointed out that the party’s senior leader Narottam Mishra, who has been a prominent figure in the region for years, was denied a ticket, a move that Singh believes will fuel anti‑BJP sentiment. Singh also referenced statements from fellow Congress leader Avdesh Nayak, who sympathised with Mishra’s disappointment and recalled Mishra's contributions to the constituency's development, despite occasional missteps.
