A Ghaziabad resident, Harsh Vardhan Jain, has been apprehended by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) for orchestrating a sophisticated job scam. Jain, posing as a diplomat from unrecognized micronations like West Arctica and Lodonia, lured individuals with promises of overseas employment. His fraudulent activities included the use of fake embassy vehicle number plates, counterfeit currency, doctored photographs with political figures, and forged documents to run a hawala operation under the guise of diplomatic immunity. The UP STF arrested Jain on Tuesday morning, seizing fake seals of the Ministry of External Affairs, forged PAN cards, counterfeit seals, and fake diplomatic number plates, along with a significant amount of cash. Jain’s past reveals a connection to prominent figures and a history of financial malfeasance, involving shell companies and money laundering schemes.
