The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has recovered a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) from the wreckage of the Air India flight Al171, which crashed in Ahmedabad. The flight, carrying 242 passengers, was en route from Ahmedabad to London when it crashed in the Meghaninagar area near the airport on Thursday. An ATS official confirmed the recovery, stating that the DVR would be examined by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the crash site, inspected the damage, and met with officials. He also visited the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, where he met the lone survivor, Vishwashkumar Ramesh, a British national of Indian origin. The Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and assured support for the injured. The crashed aircraft was a Boeing Dreamliner 787-8 bound for London’s Gatwick Airport. The crash occurred shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad International Airport.
