Har Booth, Congress Strong Campaign Boosts Party’s Ground Game in Punjab

The “Har Booth, Congress Strong” initiative took centre stage in Punjab on Wednesday as Bhupesh Baghel, the AICC secretary and state in‑charge, praised the party’s expanding grassroots machinery.

Baghel reported that his team has visited twelve districts, witnessing enthusiastic support for the Congress at the booth level. He said that the campaign is designed to embed party workers in every polling booth, ensuring that the Congress remains the dominant voice in local politics.

“The programme is not just a slogan; it is a systematic effort to place dedicated agents at each booth, creating a robust network that can respond to voter concerns instantly,” Baghel explained.

He warned that the AAP government has faltered on economic promises, leaving Punjab burdened with debt and a rising drug menace. The deteriorating law‑and‑order scenario, according to Baghel, has emboldened criminal elements, making the state feel unsafe for its citizens.

Baghel also called on party volunteers to become flag‑bearers of the movement, stressing that without solid ground‑level support, no senior leader can win an election. He dismissed attempts by the BJP and AAP to disrupt Congress rallies, noting that both parties have tried to divert attention with misleading hoardings.

The rally concluded with a vote of confidence from Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, who expressed satisfaction with the public’s response to the party’s initiatives.
