Health and Education Sectors See Massive Job Boost in Himachal

The recent cabinet meeting also focused on reinforcing Himachal’s health and higher‑education infrastructure. A total of 500 Assistant Staff Nurse posts were approved for the Health Department, strengthening frontline medical services across the state.

The Education Department received clearance to fill 320 Assistant Professor positions under the backlog quota, targeting the college cadre. Meanwhile, the Public Works Department will recruit 172 multi‑task workers to support ongoing infrastructure projects.

These appointments, together with the earlier decisions on para staff and school teachers, are projected to generate thousands of new jobs and elevate the quality of public services in Himachal Pradesh.
