An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar Trainer aircraft has crashed near Banoda village in Churu district, Rajasthan, during a routine training exercise. Tragically, both pilots on board were killed in the accident, which occurred around 1:25 PM on Wednesday. The IAF confirmed the incident, stating that there was no damage to any civilian property. An inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of the crash. This incident marks the second such occurrence in a span of three months.
In April, a two-seater Jaguar aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from the Jamnagar Airbase, attributed to a technical fault. The pilots managed to steer the aircraft away from residential areas before ejecting. Pilot Siddharth Yadav succumbed to injuries sustained during ejection, while the other pilot was injured. A similar event took place in March, where a fighter jet crashed during a training mission in Haryana’s Panchkula district. In that instance, the pilot safely ejected after experiencing technical difficulties.
