A second-year electrical engineering student at IIT Kharagpur, Chandradeep Pawar, tragically passed away after reportedly choking on a prescribed medication. The incident occurred when the tablet became lodged in his airway after he took it following dinner. Despite immediate transport to B.C. Roy Hospital on campus, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
In a separate incident, Delhi Police reported that a 39-year-old man was fatally stabbed by three minors in the Welcome area on Monday night. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. The three minors, all residents of the Welcome area, were apprehended within hours, and the murder weapon, a knife, was recovered. Authorities indicate that a minor dispute preceded the stabbing.
