Widespread rainfall is anticipated across the country in the coming days, with several states expected to experience a prolonged rainy spell. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather bulletin forecasting a rainy day in multiple regions. An orange to red alert has been issued for intense rainfall over Jammu, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and north coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next three hours. The monsoon trough is currently positioned through Bikaner, Jaipur, Datia, Banda, Ranchi, Digha, and extending east-southeastward to the northeast Bay of Bengal. Additionally, an upper cyclonic circulation over south Haryana, along with the influence of the Western Disturbance over Jammu, is contributing to the current weather conditions. The IMD has also predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall for Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Punjab, and Rajasthan. Heavy rainfall is also expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Telangana, Uttarakhand, and West Madhya Pradesh. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely over Bihar, Gujarat State, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Telangana. Parts of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, and Sikkim will also experience thunderstorms with lightning.
