India is celebrating its 79th Independence Day. The entire nation is filled with festivities. Every Indian celebrates this day as a joyous occasion. On this day in 1947, the country gained freedom from 200 years of British rule. This day symbolizes the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle, the nation’s progress, and unity. Prime Minister Modi will hoist the tricolor flag from the ramparts of the Red Fort. A 21-gun salute will be given. Following this, he will address the nation.
PM Modi will address the nation from the Red Fort for the 12th consecutive time. The theme this year is ‘New India’. Its aim is to make India prosperous, secure, and self-reliant by 2047. To make the Independence Day celebrations grand, 5000 special guests have been invited. These include Special Olympics 2025 athletes, farmers, sarpanches, young writers, and sanitation workers. The success of Operation Sindoor will be celebrated during the ceremony. Agniveers will be included for the first time in the band playing the national anthem.
85 sarpanches from across the country will participate in the ceremony. Independence Day celebrations will be held in every corner of India. Beautiful tableaux will be displayed on Kartavya Path. The bravery of the armed forces will be showcased. Robust security arrangements have been made at and around the Red Fort. More than 11,000 security personnel will be deployed. CCTV surveillance will be in place. Snipers have been deployed on the rooftops of nearby buildings.
