The Indian Civil Aviation Ministry is collaborating with Air India and IndiGo to repatriate Indian citizens stranded in Nepal following the closure of Kathmandu airport due to recent protests. Union Minister K Rammohan Naidu announced that additional flights have been arranged to bring back those affected. The airport reopened on Wednesday, September 10th, after being shut down for several days amidst demonstrations by Nepal’s Gen Z. The minister also indicated that the airlines have been instructed to maintain reasonable pricing during this period. Air India has also announced special flights from Delhi to Kathmandu and back to assist passengers affected by the situation.
