Indrajeet Saroj’s Claim Sparks Satire from Senior SP Minister

Samajwadi Party’s national general secretary Indrajeet Saroj recently declared that if the party forms a government in 2027, no one will be able to stop him from becoming a minister. The comment was quickly rebuffed by O.P. Rajbhar, who used the platform X to lampoon the statement.

Rajbhar pointed out that the assembly election is still a ways off and that any speculation about ministerial portfolios belongs in a "dream" rather than in official party strategy. He warned that the public does not appreciate leaders who start allocating "JCB, dumpers and sand‑mining duties" to activists before the voter’s mandate is known.

The minister also noted that the Uttar Pradesh electorate does not hand over empty chairs to anyone who wishes to sit; the decision lies with courts of public opinion. By turning internal discussions into a media circus, Saroj and others risk undermining the credibility of the SP’s election campaign.

Rajbhar capped his criticism with a light‑hearted challenge: "Tell us which senior leader has already earmarked the PWD or irrigation portfolio in his night‑time fantasy, so we can all have a good laugh before the real battle begins."
