In a shocking incident in Jabalpur, a woman named Ishita has been arrested for allegedly throwing acid on her childhood friend, Shraddha Das. Police investigations reveal that Ishita’s motives stemmed from jealousy over Das’s appearance, academic success, and suspicion that Das was responsible for leaking a private video featuring Ishita and her boyfriend. Ishita had meticulously planned the attack, attempting to procure acid using forged documents. After initial refusal from a shopkeeper, she enlisted a friend, Ansh, to pose as a professor and successfully obtained 500 ml of acid. The attack occurred on Sunday night, leaving Das with severe burns. Das is currently receiving treatment in a private hospital, while Ishita is in custody. Authorities are still searching for Ansh, who is believed to have aided in the crime.
