External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is scheduled to visit France and Belgium from June 8 to 14, engaging in high-level discussions to bolster bilateral ties and address key strategic issues. The visit includes meetings with his counterparts in both countries, as well as a strategic dialogue with EU Foreign and Security Policy Chief Kaja Kallas. In France, he will participate in the Mediterranean Raisina Dialogue in Marseille and meet with French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Barrot. The discussions are expected to cover a range of topics, including India’s counter-terrorism strategy and the 25th anniversary of the strategic partnership between India and France. In Brussels, Jaishankar will engage with the European Commission and Parliament, and hold talks with Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot, focusing on economic cooperation and other areas of mutual interest. The visit aims to deepen India’s relationships with the EU, France, and Belgium, and enhance ongoing cooperation across multiple sectors.
