In an interview with Le Figaro, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar reiterated India’s stance on terrorism, Kashmir, and global affairs. Regarding the conflict with Pakistan, Jaishankar asserted that the issue is rooted in terrorism, with Pakistan providing support to terrorists. He issued a stern warning, stating that India will pursue terrorists, including those in Pakistan, if they attack India. Jaishankar also addressed China’s role in the Indo-Pacific, emphasizing the need for clear stances on terrorism. He discussed India-US relations, highlighting the strengthening of ties across administrations. On the Ukraine conflict, Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s non-aligned position and called for direct negotiations. He underscored India’s role as a voice for the Global South and advocated for UN Security Council reforms.
