A horrific incident has come to light in the Godda district of Jharkhand, where a tribal minor girl was gang-raped by ten men. The assault occurred in the Sunderpahari police station area during a wedding celebration. The victim had reportedly gone outside the wedding venue to relieve herself when the attackers pounced.
The assailants seized the minor, subdued her, and took her to a secluded spot within the village. There, they committed the heinous act. The news of the gang-rape caused an uproar in the village, and a panchayat was convened to address the matter.
Eight of the perpetrators have been arrested. After the family sought justice and reported the crime to the Sunderpahari police, the authorities swiftly apprehended eight of the ten accused. All the arrested individuals reside within the Sunderpahari police station area. A case has been registered against the eight accused under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections. The police are currently conducting raids to arrest the remaining two suspects. This incident follows a similar gang-rape case involving a minor in the Godda district.
In a separate incident in the Bokaro district, four men were arrested for gang-raping a woman. The attackers had forced a couple returning from the market to consume alcohol and then bound the husband while they committed the crime. The Sector-12 police station took prompt action and apprehended all four perpetrators.
