A horrific incident of gang-rape has come to light in the Godda district of Jharkhand. A tribal minor girl, who had come to attend a wedding, was gang-raped by 10 men. The heinous crime occurred in the Sunderpahadi police station area of Godda district. The minor girl had reportedly gone outside the wedding venue at night to relieve herself.
Around 10 youths saw the minor girl at that time. The perpetrators then seized the minor to satisfy their lust. They suppressed her mouth and took her to a secluded place in the village. They then took turns committing the act. News of the gang-rape spread like wildfire in the village, causing panic. A panchayat (village council) was also convened to discuss the matter.
**Eight Accused Arrested**
Attempts were made to hush up the matter. When justice was not served, the family members went to the Sunderpahadi police station and filed a complaint against the 10 accused youths who gang-raped the minor. Subsequently, the Sunderpahadi police swiftly arrested eight of the accused involved in the gang-rape. All the accused are residents of the Sunderpahadi police station area.
**Case Registered Under POSCO Act and Other Sections**
After conducting a medical examination of the victim, a case has been registered against the eight accused under the POSCO Act and various other sections, and further action is being taken. Simultaneously, the police are conducting raids to arrest the remaining two other accused. It is worth noting that a similar incident had occurred in the Godda district before the gang-rape of the minor girl.
**Gang-Rape of a Woman in Bokaro**
In the Bokaro district, under the Sector-12 police station area, four perpetrators caught a husband and wife who were returning from the market. They forcibly gave them alcohol. Then, after tying the husband’s hands and feet, the four men gang-raped his wife in front of him. However, after the matter came to light, the Sector-12 police swiftly arrested the four accused involved in the gang-rape.
