In a significant housing initiative, 109 families in Torpa block have officially moved into their newly constructed homes. The milestone event saw the ceremonial handover of keys and certificates to beneficiaries across various panchayats. The majority of these new dwellings, 95 in total, were built under the state’s flagship Abua Awas Yojana, fulfilling the dream of homeownership for numerous rural families. The program also included 13 homes constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and one under the Ambedkar Awas Yojana. A central ceremony took place at the block office, where district council member Sushanti Kongadi personally handed over the keys and documents, emphasizing the government’s commitment to providing dignified housing solutions. Local representatives and officials, including Block Development Officer Naveen Chandra Jha, attended the event, celebrating the successful completion of these vital housing projects and expressing gratitude for the government’s impactful schemes.
