In Hazaribagh district, at least 15 people sustained burn injuries while performing fire stunts during a Muharram procession. Police officials confirmed the incident occurred on Sunday night in Turaun-Pota village. The injuries occurred when participants were performing fire-related acts as part of the Muharram observance. According to police, the fire originated from a diesel container. The injured were immediately taken to the Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College & Hospital (SBMCCH). Of the 15 admitted, 10 were discharged at the request of their families on Monday morning. Four individuals remain hospitalized, and one critically injured person has been referred to RIMS, Ranchi for advanced treatment. A local resident reported that the accident was caused by the diesel container catching fire while fuel was being dispensed.
