A meeting of the State Sentence Review Board, chaired by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, took place at the Chief Minister’s Residential Office in Ranchi. During this meeting, a decision was made to release a total of 51 inmates serving life sentences in various districts of the state. The meeting also reviewed 66 cases, including 37 new ones related to releases, that were previously rejected in the previous meetings of the Jharkhand State Sentence Review Board.
