The Board of Santali Education, operated by ASECA (Adivasi Socio Educational and Cultural Association), has announced the results of its summer session for Lower, Higher, Matriculation, and Plus Two levels. Examinations were conducted across 15 districts of Jharkhand, with approximately 900 students participating. All students passed the exams, with 97% achieving first division and 3% securing second division. A notable 60% of the participants were women. ASECA’s General Secretary, Shankar Hembram, noted an increase in the number of individuals studying in the Santali language. He anticipates further growth in the number of people reading and writing in the Olchiki script, used for the Santali language. The Board of Santali Education, following the model of the National Institute of Open Schooling, conducts exams twice a year. The recent exams were held in June, and the next exams are scheduled for December. The results were announced in Rajdoha, East Singhbhum district. The event was attended by dignitaries including Pargana Baba Haripodo Murmu, writer Durgaprasad Murmu, ASECA President Subhash Chandra Mandi, and others.
