Investigation Opens into Axe Attack Linked to Black Magic in Jharkhand

The Jharkhand police have launched a detailed probe into a double homicide that appears to be tied to black‑magic rituals. Neighbours reported that the victim's brother had invited a tantrik to his home on a Sunday night, hoping to cure his lingering sickness. During the ritual, the two elder sisters of the accused were asked to retire to their bedrooms. While they were asleep, the accused allegedly grabbed an axe kept in the house and hacked them to death. The post‑mortem reports are pending, and investigators are examining whether the motive was purely superstitious fear, a domestic dispute, or a combination of both.
