The Bharat Bandh, a nationwide strike called by various labor unions, has significantly impacted several areas in Jharkhand, particularly the coal mining regions. Protests and demonstrations were observed across the state, leading to work stoppages. In the Gobindpur excavation department of Dhanbad, union representatives were seen halting operations. This area is part of BCCL (Bharat Coking Coal Limited) and is known for its coal mining activities, with both active and closed mines present.
The impact of the industrial strike was also visible in the Gandhi Nagar area. In Bokaro, the joint front leaders shut down operations at the Khasmahal Konar project and Bokaro Colliery. Clashes were reported in several locations. However, some leaders from BMS (Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh) claimed the strike was unsuccessful.
Protests were also held at the Bokaro Thermal Power Plant. AMC-ARC laborers at the CCL Gobindpur project demonstrated and shouted slogans in support of the strike at the main gate. They also wore black badges to show their protest. Several images of the bandh were captured.
