Dr. Kushwaha Sashibhushan Mehta, BJP MLA from Panki, Jharkhand, expressed his discontent after being denied a room at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi. Despite having confirmed reservations for two rooms, he was informed upon arrival that only one room was booked in his name. The MLA inquired about the occupancy of other rooms, questioning whether any Jharkhand MLAs or ministers were staying there, but received no satisfactory answers. In protest, he sat on the floor near the reception and ate his breakfast there. Mehta criticized the Jharkhand government for the situation, questioning the purpose of the crores of rupees spent on the Jharkhand Bhawan. He urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take action against those responsible for the mismanagement and ensure proper accommodation for Jharkhand MLAs. The Jharkhand Bhawan, a state-of-the-art seven-story building with 50 guest rooms, was constructed on September 3, 2024, in Connaught Place, Delhi. It includes suites for dignitaries and VIPs, and was built with modern amenities and a focus on high-quality interiors.
