Dr. Kushwaha Shashibhushan Mehta, BJP MLA from Panki, Jharkhand, expressed his displeasure on social media after being denied a room at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi. Despite confirming the booking of two rooms in his name, he was informed at the reception that only one room was booked, and the other was unavailable. In protest, the MLA sat on the floor near the reception and had his breakfast there. He questioned the purpose of the Jharkhand Bhawan, which was constructed at a significant cost, and demanded action against those responsible for the mismanagement. He urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to ensure proper functioning of the building and easy accessibility for Jharkhand MLAs. The modern Jharkhand Bhawan, inaugurated on September 3, 2024, is a seven-story building with 50 guest rooms and suites for VIPs, including the Governor, Chief Minister, and Chief Justice.
