Dr. Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan Mehta, BJP MLA from Panki, Jharkhand, expressed his discontent after being denied a room at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi. Despite booking and confirming two rooms in advance, he was informed at the reception that only one room was reserved under his name. This led to a protest by the MLA, who sat on the floor of the reception area and had his breakfast there. He questioned the management of the Jharkhand Bhawan, asking who the facility was intended for and why he, a Jharkhand MLA, was being treated this way. He has urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take action against those responsible for the poor management. The Jharkhand Bhawan, a seven-story building with modern amenities, was inaugurated on September 3, 2024, featuring 50 guest rooms, suites for VIPs, and special accommodations for dignitaries like the Governor and Chief Minister. Constructed at a cost of over 100 crore, the building includes 45 guest rooms, 18 suites, and 2 VVIP suites.
