Following the conclusion of the shraddha rituals, the ashes of Dishom Guru were immersed in the Damodar River at Rajarappa on Sunday. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accompanied by his family, visited the Rajarappa temple where he performed the immersion of the ashes of his father, Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, the architect of Jharkhand state. The Chief Minister carried out the ceremony according to traditional Santhali customs. His younger brother, Basant Soren, his son, and other family members were present. The Chief Minister arrived in Rajarappa from his ancestral village, Nemra, after the completion of the 12-day shraddha period. The immersion of the ashes took place with full respect and reverence in the serene environment on the banks of the Damodar River in Rajarappa. Following the immersion, other religious traditions were also observed by the family.
