Following the completion of the shraddha ceremony, the ashes of Dishom Guru were immersed in the Damodar River in Rajarappa on Sunday. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with his family, arrived at the Rajarappa temple. He performed the immersion of the ashes of his father, Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, the architect of Jharkhand state. The Chief Minister carried out the ritual in accordance with traditional Santhali customs. His younger brother, Basant Soren, his son, and other family members were present. It was reported that the Chief Minister reached Rajarappa from his ancestral village, Nemra, after the completion of 12 days of shraddha rituals. The immersion of the ashes took place with full respect and reverence in a serene environment on the banks of the Damodar River in Rajarappa. Other religious traditions were also followed by the family after the immersion.
